But this isn't your average booze cruise. We encourage you to enjoy the exhilirating sailing on Arcturus and that will give you a natural 'high' before you step off the boat into the 'heart of Auckland' the Viaduct Harbour bars and restaurants.

Harbour cruises depart 4-6pm and Sunset Cruises from 6-8pm (from October 1st). Please call for confirmation and availability.

Seamanship and Sail Training on Arcturus
Arcturus is the ideal vessel to experience and learn the art of seamanship.

We offer a program in which the participants act as crew under the direction of professional sailors. We will discuss the procedures of preparing and running a vessel at sea, from planning a voyage and navigation to planning routes and plotting positions. You will stand watches and log entries into the logbook.

You will discover what makes a good anchorage and how to set the anchor.
Learn about hoisting, trimming, reefing and dousing sails.

A sail-training program is an adventure in learning; all hands become fully involved in sailing the vessel. All you need is an adventurous spirit and a duffle bag with some warm, comfortable clothing!
